PSLG offers full-service rental retirement communities. Benton Village and Southern Pines communities feature independent living, assisted living and a specialized memory care neighborhood in beautiful settings. Benton House and Peachtree Plantation communities provide quality assisted living and specialized memory care. Beacon Pointe communities specialize in memory care. Typically communities of this caliber, which offer myriad amenities, require large endowment or buy-in fees.
We respect that most seniors are on a fixed income and we want you to be in charge of your nest egg. A modest new resident orientation fee and a simple monthly rental is all that is required to start enjoying the lifestyle that PSLG communities offer.
To truly understand what makes our communities special, you will need to visit. Each community offers free lunch (with reservation) and an opportunity for a complete tour and chats with residents and staff. This provides you a full look at the housekeeping, meals, activities, and staff and resident interaction.
While our buildings and grounds are beautiful, it’s our staff who truly make the difference. The words kind, helpful, caring, compassionate show up repeatedly on our satisfaction surveys. Because each of our residential communities is small and homelike by design, there is a sense of community. A sense of home. One of the advantages of living in a community with a continuum of care is our ability to adapt to your changing needs. Our staff will work with you to find outside resources such as home health agencies and rehabilitation therapists to provide services that we are not licensed to provide. However, if a resident’s needs progress to a point beyond where we can confidently care for them (bedfast or other medical condition requiring 24-hour nursing care) we will assist you in locating alternative arrangements. All we require is a 30-day notice.
We want you to feel that you are at home—with all that means. Therefore, we encourage you to bring your own full-size furniture and cherished keepsakes as well as personal items such as bed linens, pillows and artwork to make your new home feel like home.
We provide scheduled transportation at no additional cost. Should you need personal transportation, it will be provided at a rate determined by the destination. Please ask the Executive Director for more details.

Many enjoy knowing there is an emergency call system staffed 24- hours a day. Others are comforted knowing that we will take care of preparing meals and reminding them when to take their medications. Yes. PSLG operates on a month- to- month rental agreement with a 30- day notice to vacate. Because of increasing costs and to assure top notch services and staff, we generally have a rate increase every 12 months. These increases have typically ranged from 2% to 5% a year. We understand that most residents are on a fixed income and we endeavor to keep the increases as small as possible while increasing them enough to be able to continue to provide the highest quality of care and service.
The services that we can provide at an additional cost are hair salon, personal transportation, telephone and cable TV, companion service to appointments, apartment furniture, and pharmacy and incontinence supplies.
A medication packaging system has been adopted to promote consistency and accuracy in assisting residents with their medications. If you choose to use another type of packaging, there will be an additional fee. (See Executive Director for details.)

Some PSLG communities offer the Beacon Memory Care Neighborhood. And it truly is its own neighborhood with a separate, small homelike environment. This concept is best for those who are in the early to mid stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Research conducted by the Alzheimer’s Association and other independent studies points to a non-institutional environment being the best option for those experiencing Alzheimer’s disease or other memory loss. At PSLG communities, every effort has gone into designing programs that reduce stress and confusion for seniors with memory loss. The simple-to-navigate design allows memory care residents the freedom to explore indoors and out in an unobtrusively supervised setting. Activities are focused on what can be done rather than loss.
